The company is the only place in the world where you can rent a shiny new Airstream — and it's a beauty: The International Signature Series trailers feature futuristic interiors created by designer Christopher Deam, and are outfitted with Egyptian-cotton bedding and fine cookware and toiletries. If a Winnebago is a functional but slightly frumpy motel, an airstream is a sleek boutique on wheels. "It's a luxury hotel on wheels," says George Grunebaum, an asset manager from Bedford, New York, who recently traveled with his family down the California coast.
